Richard S. Greene, M.D., is one of the founding partners of Skin and Cancer Associates. Dr. Greene is a Board Certified Dermatologist with over 40 years of experience in dermatology, cosmetic services, dermatologic surgery and hair loss treatments.

Dr. Greene is a pioneer in the field of hair transplantation. Over the course of four decades, he has performed more than 10,000 individual hair transplants and has seen techniques evolve from the early stages to new, highly specialized micro and mini grafts. Dr. Greene has earned an international reputation that has been cultivated by patient referrals and word of mouth, with two thirds of his patients coming from around the world and one third of his patients living in Florida. Dr. Greene completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University and received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He performed his internship in internal medicine at Tufts Medical Service, Boston City Hospital and performed his residency in Dermatology at University Hospital, Boston University Medical Center where he was appointed to Chief Resident in Dermatology. He then performed Military Service as Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps as Chief of Dermatology at Fort Leonard Wood Army Hospital.

Dr. Greene is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and served as an associate clinical professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He has co-authored many published articles and has hospital appointments with Biscayne Medical Center, Westside Regional Medical Center and Memorial Hospital West.

Joseph A. Arena, M.D., is a Board Certified Dermatologist with over 40 years of experience in dermatologic medicine. Dr. Arena treats patients of all ages for medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology skin conditions. Dr. Arena is one of the founding partners of Skin and Cancer Associates.

Dr. Arena completed his undergraduate studies at LeMoyne College and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Los Angeles County General Hospital. Dr. Arena then served as a Chief Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force. After Dr. Arena completed his Air Force service he returned to Florida where he completed his residency in Dermatology at University of Miami School of Medicine.

Dr. Arena is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and served as an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He has hospital appointments with Westside Regional Hospital, Aventura Medical Center, Memorial Regional Medical Center, and Hollywood Medical Center.

Garry B. Gewirtzman, M.D., has over 40 years of dermatology medical experience and expertise. Dr. Gewirtzman is a Board Certified Dermatologist and is one of the founding partners of Skin and Cancer Associates. Dr. Gewirtzman provides a blend of dermatologic, cosmetic and laser skin care services as well as dermatologic surgery for his patients.

Dr. Gewirtzman graduated from Rutgers University and received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Miami and performed his residency in the Department of Dermatology at the State University of New York, where he earned the position of Chief Resident during his final year.

Dr. Gewirtzman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and served as Assistant Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at State University of New York at Buffalo. He is the recipient of AMA Physicians Recognition Awards, and numerous American Academy of Dermatology CME Awards. Additionally, he was selected for Marquis Who’s Who in the World. Dr.Gewirtzman has made presentations at scientific meetings, and has written two books. He has authored and co-authored published articles, and is a member in community organizations.

Harold S. Rabinovitz, M.D., is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Mohs Surgeon with over 30 years of experience treating patients with various types of skin cancers.

Dr. Rabinovitz graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University and received his medical degree from University of Miami School of Medicine. He performed his internship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and completed his dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center.

Dr. Rabinovitz served as Assistant Clinical Professor and as Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at University of Miami School of Medicine. Presently, he serves as Clinical Professor of Dermatology.

David Sharaf, M.D., has over 30 years of dermatology medicine experience treating patients for various types of medical and cosmetic dermatologic skin conditions. Dr. Sharaf is Board Certified in Dermatology and is also board eligible in Internal Medicine. Dr. Sharaf is a founding partner in Skin and Cancer Associates.

Dr. Sharaf graduated with honors in biology from Trinity College and received his medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School. He performed his residency in internal medicine at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts and performed his residency in dermatology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach, Florida. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Sharaf is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Sharaf has completed several articles for publication and has medical staff affiliations at Westside Regional Hospital and Aventura Medical Center.

Additionally, he continues to perform numerous community activities in dermatology such as skin cancer screenings on behalf of major corporations and hospitals, providing care at Salvation Army Homeless Clinics and conducts various lectures.

Dr. Sharaf offers his patients specially formulated skin care products for use as part of a physician supervised skin care regimen. An office based Aesthetician is always available to perform professional facials.

Leeor Porges, DO is a dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, skin cancer prevention and treatment and aesthetic medicine. Dr. Porges earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Miami. He received his Doctor of Ostopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. He completed both his internship and residency at Broward Health Medical Center and was a research fellow with Dr. Harold Rabinovitz.

Dr. Porges has co-authored articles in the field of Dermatology that have been published in numerous medical journals, and is a CME course presenter in Dermatology for Nova Southeastern University.
